The invitation

Consider this your invitation.

This summer, Shaun T and Scott are opening the doors of a Renaissance residence in Tuscany to a small group of their people.

For four days, the whole hotel is ours: no other guests, no strangers at the next table. Mornings start with Shaun T. Afternoons are slow: by the pool, in the gardens, or in the hilltop town of Cortona. Evenings are long, at candlelit tables on the terrace with live music.

It's less a trip than a celebration, and you're on the guest list. Pack something beautiful.

Villa di Piazzano, villa

The hotel

Built for a cardinal.

Villa di Piazzano was built in the 15th century for Cardinal Silvio Passerini of Cortona, a close ally of the Medici family. Today it is a five-star boutique hotel set in a protected nature reserve between Tuscany and Umbria, minutes from Cortona.

Frescoed ceilings and 18th-century doors on the noble floor. Old wooden beams under the eaves. A lemon courtyard scented with jasmine. Former stables, a lemon house and a tobacco tower, all restored into suites. A gourmet restaurant, a historic cellar, gardens and walking trails.

For one week in August, all of it belongs to us.
